In 1994-1996 National survey on arsenic situation analysis were done
In 1996-1997 National steering committee on Arsenic problems was constituted headed by the Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare
In mid 2000 Secretary’s Committee with 09 relevant secretaries for coordinating multi sectoral activities and providing Policy guidelines.
In late 2000 a National Expert Committee for advising Govt. on technical matters
National Policy for Arsenic Mitigation 2004 and implementation plan for Arsenic Mitigation in Bangladesh formulated on March/2004
For effective implementation of National Policy for Arsenic Mitigation – 2004, an Implementation Committee was formed.
Non Communicable Disease And Other Public Health Intervention. (NCD&OPHI) is the 7th of 38th Operational Plan of Directorate General of Health Services.
Arsenic related health problem mitigation program is implemented under this operational plan which is guided by National Policy for Arsenic Mitigation-2004.
